MAINTENANCE PLANS

Procyon Fire & Security Ltd can offer three basic levels of service cover to help keep your systems
in optimum working order, and help you to meet your obligations under The Regulatory Reform
(Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Choose from one of the following service plans, which have been developed to meet specific customer needs. Standard service agreements are the most commonly adopted plan, you can upgrade to either of the others during your service agreement if so required. Maintenance Agreement Options Stan

**Emergency Callouts defined by Procyon Fire & Security Ltd, 4 hour response dependant upon
weather and traffic conditions.
***Parts are not included where damage has occurred due to Acts Of God, i.e. fire, flood, storm damage.
Customer misuse or misoperation and vandalism are also excluded as is fixed wiring.
Consumables (i.e. batteries and tubes) are chargeable under all service plans.
Should these agreements not suit your needs, our Consultants will be more than happy to discuss
bespoke agreements to suit your budgetary purposes.

 

SYSTEM MAINTENANCE VISITS

Maintenance is essential to keep your systems running at optimum levels for as long as possible.
System maintenance is also a requirement under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety)
Order 2005, and records must be kept in your site log book. As part of our service to our customers,
Procyon Fire & Security Ltd provide a log book for your first years service,

What constitutes a maintenance visit?

  1. Check if staff have experienced any problems with the system
  2. Advise staff of order of works if necessary
  3. Take system off watch or isolate areas where necessary to enable testing
  4. Check system logs
  5. Check mains and standby batteries using specialist battery testing equipment and record readings
  6. Check operation of required number of field devices (dependant upon number of visits annually) using specialist testing equipment where necessary:

    smoke and heat detectors
    door magnets or sensors or readers
    keypads and repeat panels
    manual call points/mechanical exit points
    sensors
    cameras

  7. Check any connected doors to ensure correct interfacing and operation
  8. Check communication back to any repeat panels and endstations/control panels, including checking times of operation
  9. Check the interfacing of any other system
  10. Carry out any minor adjustments on the system including cleaning and refocusing of cameras, cleaning dirty field equipment
  11. Complete any system back ups required
  12. Provide answers to any queries or questions the client may have
  13. Complete a worksheet detailing any recommended work/system deficiency and obtain customer signature for works carried out.
  14. Put system back ‘on watch’ and reinstate any isolations or main control panel
  15. Check communication to monitoring centre
  16. Complete the customer log book
