Emergency lighting

Should the mains lighting fail in a property, Health & Safety legislation requires the immediate provision of a secondary, emergency lighting to ensure the safety of the people moving around and evacuating the building.

As an employer, the emergency lighting requirements for your premises will be highlighted in your Fire Risk Assessment carried out by your Competent Person in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Procyon has specialist expertise to design, install and maintain high quality, reliable emergency lighting systems. There are various types of emergency lighting available and we can identify the most suitable system for your budget and premises.

We specialise in systems that allow automatic or manual testing, as well as luminaires that can be downloaded to a hand programmer and monitored with a PC database. These units are considerably more reliable that other available systems and directly replace existing self-contained units.

Emergency lighting systems must be tested under BS5266 Part 1 regulations. Procyon can test and maintain your system annually to ensure your compliance with regulatory requirements.
